A legrangosabb európai kupasorozatban az első hazai mérkőzésünkre készülünk. A Sepsi Arénában a Famila Schio érkezik.
Október 11-én újból megmérttetjük magunkat az Euróligában. A Zaragozában elveszített mérkőzés után, a Zoran Mikes irányította lányokban tombol a bizonyítási vágy, és győzelemre éhesek.

A Famila Schio olasz csapat, a tavalyi Euroliga kiírásában bronzérmes lett. A Final 4 bronzmérkőzésén drámai győzelmet arattak, a házigazda USK Praha cseh csapata ellen (59-56). A fennállásuk során az előző idényben sikerült először érmet szerezniük Európa legjobbjai között. A Schio emellett még 12 Olasz Bajnoki címmel, 14 Olasz kupagyőzelemmel, 13 Olasz Szuperkupával, 2 Ronchetti Kupával, és egy Európa Kupával büszkélkedhet.
A csapat kispadján a görög szakember, George Dikeoulakos foglal helyet 2021 óta. Már az első szezonjában triplázott a csapattal, és mindhárom olasz trófeát megnyerte, az Olasz bajnokságot, az Olasz Kupát, és a Szuperkupát, ezt a 2022-23-as idényben megismételte. A csapatot ő vezette Euroliga dobogós helyre az előző idényben.

A Schio csapata nagy neveket sorakoztat fel, olyanokat, mint Jasmine Keys, Martina Bestagno vagy akár Elisa Pena. Ők az előző szezonokban is az olasz csapatban szerepeltek.
Új igazolásaik között van az előző idényben a DVTK Miskolc kulcsembere, a Puerto Rico-i Arella Guirantes, a cseh válogatott Julia Reisingerova.
A friss igazolások között van Juhász Dorka is, akit az egyetemi évei után draftolt a Minnesota Lynx WNBA csapat. Dorka bekerült a 2023-as WNBA évad legjobb öt újoncai közé. A Schio színeiben az AZS UMCS Lublin elleni Euroliga mérkőzésen mutatkozott be, amin ráadásul őt választották a meccs emberének is.

Az idei szezonban a Schio megnyerte az első meccsét az Euroligában. 70-50 arányban győzték le a lengyel AZS UMCS Lublin együttesét.

Pe 11 octombrie, ne vom confrunta din nou cu provocarea din EuroLigă. După meciul pierdut în Zaragoza, fetele conduse de Zoran Mikes sunt pline de dorința de a se dovedi și flămânde de victorie.
Să ne cunoaștem adversarul:
Echipa italiană Famila Schio a obținut medalia de bronz în sezonul trecut al EuroLigii. Au obţinut o victorie dramatică în meciul pentru bronz din cadrul Final Four împotriva echipei cehă USK Praha (59-56). În istoria lor, au reușit pentru prima dată să obțină o medalie în rândul celor mai bune echipe din Europa. În plus față de aceasta, Schio se poate mândri cu 12 titluri de campioană în Campionatul Italian, 14 Cupe Italiene câștigate, 13 Supercupe Italiene, 2 Cupe Ronchetti și o Cupă a Europei.

Famila Schio is an Italian team that achieved bronze in the last EuroLeague edition. In the dramatic bronze medal match of the Final Four, they secured a victory against the host team, Czech USK Praha (59-56). This marked the first time in their history that they earned a medal among Europe’s best. Additionally, Schio boasts an impressive record with 12 Italian Championship titles, 14 Italian Cup victories, 13 Italian Super Cups, 2 Ronchetti Cups, and one EuroCup title.
Since 2021, the team has been led by Greek coach George Dikeoulakos. In his very first season, he achieved a triple crown with the team, winning the Italian Championship, the Italian Cup, and the Super Cup. He repeated this feat in the 2022-23 season. Under his guidance, the team secured a spot on the EuroLeague podium in the previous season.
