A Casademont Zaragoza elleni első Euroliga mérkőzésünket 28 ponttal elveszítettük. Jövő héten hazai pályán bizonyíthatunk az olasz Schio csapata ellen.

Szerdán este fennállásunk első Euroliga mérkőzését vívtuk a Zaragoza otthonában. A hazai csapat is szintén újoncként vágott neki a csatának, amire körülbelül 3600 néző látogatott ki. Csapatunkat is elkísérte pár lelkes szurkolónk.
A mérkőzést a Zaragoza egy 6-0 vezetéssel indította, Diallo, Ortiz és Gimeno kosaraival szereztek korai előnyt. A spanyolok kosaraira Ellen Nyström válaszolt egy 4 pontos játékkal. Ezután lányaink nem tudtak a kosárba találni, és az ellenfelet sem sikerült megállítani, így Zoran Mikes időt kért. A time out-ot követően Borislava Hristova és Bethy Mununga is eredményesek voltak. A negyed utolsó másodperceiben Morgan Green szerzett távoli hárompontost (29-17). A második negyed sem rajtolt jól számunkra, hiszem 4 percig nem szereztünk kosarat, ezért vezetőedzőnk kénytelen volt időt kérni. Az időkérést követően magukra találtak a lányok, de a félidőben így is hátrányban vonultunk az öltözőbe (46-28).

A térfélcserét követően kosarasaink gyors támadásokkal lepték meg az ellenfelet. Bethy Mununga és Gereben Lívia kosarai után, a Zaragoza vezetőedzője, Carlos Cantero időt kért. A harmadik negyedben kezdtünk felzárkózni, és úgy tűnt, hogy 10 pont alá is sikerül visszajönni (63-45). Az utolsó játékrészben a Spanyol kupagyőztes Zaragoza végleg a kezébe vette a mérkőzést, és 28 ponttal megnyerték az Euroliga újoncok csatáját.

Am pierdut primul nostru meci din EuroLigă împotriva echipei Casademont Zaragoza cu 28 puncte. Săptămâna viitoare, avem ocazia să ne demonstrăm valoarea pe teren propriu împotriva echipei italiene Schio.

Miercuri seara am susținut primul nostru meci din istoria EuroLigii în deplasare la Zaragoza. Echipa gazdă, de asemenea, a intrat în confruntare ca o echipă debutantă, având aproximativ 3600 de spectatori prezenți. Am fost însoțiți de câțiva fani entuziaști.

Meciul a început cu Zaragoza conducând cu 6-0, grație aruncărilor reușite de Diallo, Ortiz și Gimeno. Ellen Nyström a răspuns cu un joc de 4 puncte la coșurile spaniolilor. Apoi, fetele noastre nu au reușit să înscrie și nu au putut să oprească adversarul, ceea ce a determinat o pauză solicitată de Zoran Mikes. După pauză, fetele noastre și-au revenit, dar totuși ne-am încheiat prima jumătate a meciului în dezavantaj (46-28).

După schimbarea terenurilor, jucătoarele noastre de baschet au surprins adversarul cu atacuri rapide. După coșurile reușite de Bethy Mununga și Gereben Lívia, antrenorul echipei Zaragoza, Carlos Cantero, a solicitat o pauză. În al treilea sfert am început să recuperăm și părea că am putea ajunge chiar sub diferența de 10 puncte (63-45). În ultimul sfert, campioana Spaniei și câștigătoarea Cupei Zaragoza și-a asigurat complet controlul asupra jocului și a câștigat confruntarea dintre debutantele din EuroLigă cu o diferență de 28 de puncte.

We lost our first EuroLeague match against Casademont Zaragoza by 28 points. Next week, we will have the chance to prove ourselves at home against the Italian team Schio.

On Wednesday evening, we played our first EuroLeague match in Zaragoza. The home team, also newcomers to the league, had about 3600 spectators in attendance. Some of our enthusiastic fans accompanied our team.

The match started with Zaragoza taking a 6-0 lead, gaining an early advantage with baskets from Diallo, Ortiz, and Gimeno. The Spanish team’s baskets were answered by Ellen Nyström with a 4-point play. After that, our team struggled to score, and we couldn’t stop the opponent, prompting Zoran Mikes to call for a timeout.Following the timeout, Borislava Hristova and Bethy Mununga also found success. In the final seconds of the quarter, Morgan Green scored a long-range three-pointer (29-17). The second quarter didn’t start well for us either, as we went four minutes without scoring, prompting our head coach to call for another timeout. After the timeout, the girls found their rhythm, but we still went into halftime with a deficit (46-28).

After the half time, our players surprised the opponent with fast attacks. Following baskets from Bethy Mununga and Gereben Lívia, Zaragoza’s coach, Carlos Cantero, called for a timeout. We started to catch up in the third quarter, and it seemed possible to bring the lead down to under 10 points (63-45). However, in the final quarter, the Spanish Cup champions, Zaragoza, took full control of the game and won the clash of EuroLeague newcomers with a 28-point lead.
