Nyilatkozatok a Final Fourt megelőzően / Declarații înainte de Final Four / Statements before the Final Four

Most kijavítjuk azokat a hibákat, és megmutatjuk, miért dolgoztunk egész szezonban.

– a declarat Zoran Mikes.

– și-a împărtășit gândurile, Gereben Lívia.

This year’s Romanian Cup Final Four will take place in Arad on March 1–2. Alongside our team, the top four include hosts FCC Baschet UAV Arad, CSM Târgoviște, and CSM CSU Constanța.

In the semifinal, the green-and-whites will face the defending champions, CSM CSU Constanța, who have recently strengthened their roster. Before the tournament, our head coach, Zoran Mikes, the team captain, Gereben Lívia, and Taya Robinson shared their thoughts.

“If we’re being realistic, this is one of those years when nobody sees us as favorites. Everyone thinks our team has the smallest chance of winning the Final Four, but from my experience in these kinds of tournaments, that means nothing. We will definitely try to win the first game.

I know that if we bring the right energy and effort—compared to our first game against Constanța when they surprised us after adding new players—we will be more prepared this time. Right now, our focus is on the first game and how to execute it successfully.

If we reach the second game, the final, I know we will have the heart and character to fight. We will give our maximum effort, and regardless of the outcome, I am sure I will be proud of the team.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of players available at this crucial point in the season. We are currently missing two domestic players, and their absence could impact our game. However, I am confident that with the players we do have, we can step up and prove that our hard work throughout the season has paid off.

When you believe in the process, have the right attitude, and show good teamwork, you can always hope for something special. I really hope we can have a great tournament. If we exceed expectations, we might even become heroes—and that’s what motivates us the most.” – said Zoran Mikes.

The game will take place on Saturday at 4:00 PM and will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel of the Romanian Basketball Federation.
