Hatalmas és történelmi mérkőzésnek lehettek tanui azok, akik szerda este kilátogattak a Sepsi Arénába kosárlabdacsapatunk mérkőzésére. Az Euroliga hetedik játéknapján az LDLC ASVEL Féminin csapatával vívtunk meg. Csapatunk bár megfogyatkozva vágott neki a mérkőzésnek, annál nagyobb bizonyítási vágy és tűz volt bennük.
Az első negyedben a Lyon irányította a mérkőzést, gyors rajttal kezdtek, és 10 pontos előnyt alakítottak ki. Zoran Mikes lányai azonban nem hagyták könnyen magukat, és nem engedték a franciákat nagyobb különbség kialakítására. Az első negyed 20-23-ra zárult. A második játékrész hasonlóan alakult, és a vendégek előnnyel vonultak a 15 perces szünetre (43-35).
Borislava Hristova a mérkőzésen mutatott teljesítményével bekerült a 7. forduló legjobbjai közé
A pihenőt követően a távoli dobásainknak köszönhetően sikerült megszereznünk a vezetést. Sajnos ebben a negyedben Veatriki Akathiotou sérülést követően elhagyta a pályát, és rövidebb lett Zoran Mikes kispadja. A zöld-fehérek azonban nem adták fel, az utolsó másodpercekig harcoltak. A záró negyedet mi bírtuk jobban, és Borislava Hristova dudaszó előtti kosarával megnyertük a mérkőzést. A kosarat videóbírózás követte, ami után a mérkőzésből maradt 0,04 másodperc. A franciáknak egy utolsó támadásra volt lehetőségük, azonban nem sikerült pontot szerezniük a hátramaradt másodpercekben, így csapatunk örülhetett a végső lefújást követően.
A győzelem pillanatai
“Nagyon nehéz most nyilatkozni, mert nincsenek erre szavak, amit ma itt véghezvittünk. Nehéz szavakba önteni, hogy mennyire büszke vagyok erre a csapatra. Kemény helyzeten megyünk most keresztül, hiányoznak játékosok, de remélem pótolni tudjuk őket. A győzelem kulcsa az volt, hogy hittünk abban, hogy nyerhetünk, tudtuk viszont, hogy nagyon nehéz lesz. Ismét bebizonyítottuk, hogy a sportban történnek csodák, és bármi lehetséges csak hinni kell benne. A csapat együtt volt végig, és bíztunk egymásban, még akkor is, amikor mélyponthoz érkeztünk. Most pihenünk, és dolgozunk tovább. Köszönöm a szurkolóknak, hogy támogattak minket!” – nyilatkozta Zoran Mikes a Lyon elleni győzelem után.
Gereben Lívia is megosztotta a gondolatait a történelmi sikert követően : ” Nagyon sokat jelent számunkra ez a győzelem. A csapatban küzdöttünk sérüléssel a mérkőzésen, valamint a rotációnk is szűk volt. Ez egy hatalmas dolog, hogy győztünk, a csapatnak is, és a városnak is. Nagyon büszke vagyok erre. Régóta érett már ez a győzelem, sokan nem hittek bennünk, kritikákat is kaptunk. Én tudom mire képes ez a csapat és örülök, hogy ezt ma sikerült megmutatni.”

A következő mérkőzésünket ismét hazai közönség előtt vívjuk meg. A Casademont Zaragoza lesz az ellenfelünk, december 6-án 19 órától!

Cei care au participat la meciul echipei de baschet miercuri seara la Arena Sepsi au putut fi martorii unei partide masive și istorice. În a șaptea rundă de joc din EuroLigă, am întâlnit echipa LDLC ASVEL Féminin. Deși echipa noastră a fost redusă numeric, au abordat meciul cu o dorință și o pasiune cu atât mai mari.
În primul sfert, Lyon a preluat controlul jocului, începând cu o ritmare rapidă și stabilind un avans de 10 puncte. Cu toate acestea, fetele lui Zoran Mikes nu s-au dat ușor și au împiedicat echipa franceză să obțină un avantaj mai mare. Primul sfert s-a încheiat cu scorul de 20-23. Partea a doua s-a desfășurat în mod similar, iar oaspeții au intrat în pauza de 15 minute cu un avantaj de 8 puncte (43-35).
După pauză, datorită aruncărilor noastre de la distanță, am reușit să preluăm conducerea. Din păcate, în acest sfert, Veatriki Akathiotou a părăsit terenul după o accidentare, iar banca lui Zoran Mikes s-a redus. Cu toate acestea, echipa noastră nu s-a dat bătută și a luptat până în ultimele secunde. Am dominat ultimul sfert, iar cu coșul marcat de Borislava Hristova înainte de fluierul final, am câștigat meciul. Coșul a fost supus analizei video, iar după aceasta au rămas 0,04 secunde din meci. Francezii au avut o ultimă șansă de atac, dar nu au reușit să marcheze în acele câteva secunde rămase, așa că echipa noastră s-a bucurat la finalul partidei.
“Nu pot să vorbesc acum pentru că nu există cuvinte pentru ceea ce am realizat astăzi aici. Este greu să exprimi în cuvinte cât de mândru sunt de această echipă. Trecem printr-o perioadă dificilă, avem jucători absenți, dar sper că vom putea să-i înlocuim. Cheia victoriei a fost credința că putem câștiga, dar știam că va fi foarte dificil. Am demonstrat din nou că în sport pot avea loc miracole și că orice este posibil, trebuie doar să crezi în asta. Echipa a fost unită de-a lungul întregului meci, am avut încredere unii în alții, chiar și atunci când am ajuns în momente dificile. Acum vom lua o pauză și vom continua să muncim. Mulțumesc suporterilor pentru sprijinul acordat!” – a declarat Zoran Mikes după victoria împotriva echipei Lyon.
Gereben Lívia, împărtășindu-și gândurile după succesul istoric, a declarat: „Această victorie înseamnă foarte mult pentru noi. Am luptat cu accidentări în echipă în timpul meciului, iar rotația noastră a fost restrânsă. Este o realizare imensă, atât pentru echipă, cât și pentru oraș. Sunt foarte mândră de asta. Această victorie a fost așteptată de mult timp, mulți nu au crezut în noi și am primit și critici. Eu știu la ce este capabilă această echipă și sunt bucuroasă că am reușit să arătăm asta astăzi.”
Următorul nostru meci va fi din nou în fața propriilor suporteri. Vom întâlni echipa Casademont Zaragoza pe 6 decembrie, începând cu ora 19:00!

Those who attended our basketball team’s match at the Sepsi Arena on Wednesday evening could bear witness to a colossal and historic game. On the seventh game of the EuroLeague Women, we faced off against the LDLC ASVEL Féminin team. Although our team entered the match with a reduced roster, they possessed an even greater desire to prove themselves and a fiery spirit.
In the first quarter, Lyon took control of the game, starting with a quick pace and establishing a 10-point lead. However, Zoran Mikes’s players did not yield easily and prevented the French team from creating a larger gap. The first quarter concluded with a score of 20-23. The second period unfolded similarly, and the visitors entered the 15-minute break with a 8 point lead (43-35).
Thanks to our long-range shots after the break, we managed to take the lead. Unfortunately, in this quarter, after Veatriki Akathiotou’s injury, she left the court, and Zoran Mikes’ bench became shorter. However, the green and whites did not give up and fought until the last seconds. We dominated the closing quarter, and with Borislava Hristova’s basket just before the buzzer, we won the game. The basket was followed by video review, leaving 0.04 seconds in the match. The French had one last chance for an attack, but they couldn’t score in the remaining seconds, so our team celebrated after the final whistle.
“It is very difficult to speak right now because there are no words for what we accomplished here today. It’s hard to express how proud I am of this team. We are going through a tough situation, missing players, but I hope we can fill those gaps. The key to victory was believing that we could win, although we knew it would be very difficult. Once again, we proved that miracles happen in sports, and anything is possible as long as you believe. The team stayed together throughout, and we trusted each other, even when we hit rock bottom. Now, we rest and continue working. Thanks to the fans for their support!” – Zoran Mikes commented after the victory against Lyon.
Gereben Lívia also shared her thoughts after the historic success: “This victory means a lot to us. We fought with injuries during the match, and our rotation was tight. It’s a tremendous thing that we won, for the team and the city as well. I am very proud of this. This victory has been a long time coming, and many didn’t believe in us, we faced criticism. I know what this team is capable of, and I’m glad we could demonstrate that today.”
Our next match will once again be in front of our home crowd. Casademont Zaragoza will be our opponent on December 6th at 7:00 PM!
