Visszavágnánk a franciáknak / Vrem revanșă împotriva francezilor / We want revenge against the French team

Az Euroliga odavágó-sorozatának utolsó mérkőzésére készül kosárlabdacsapatunk. Szerdán a francia LDLC ASVEL Féminin alakulata érkezik a Sepsi Arénába.

Továbbra is csapatukat erősíti Gabby Williams, Alexia Chery (Chartereau), Marine Johannes, Julie Allemand, Laura Quevedo, Sandrine Gruda, Juste Jocyte, valamint Helena Ciak.
Marine Johannes nemrég csatlakozott a csapathoz, mivel eddig a WNBA-ben szerepelt a döntőig menetelő New York Liberty csapatával.

A New York-i csapatból Johannesel tartott még Stefanie Dolson is. Dolson, Sandrine Gruda helyettesítője lesz, mivel a francia center sérülés miatt hosszú ideig nem lesz bevethető.

A francia szakember, David Gautier csapata az idei Euroliga kiírásban egyetlen mérkőzést nyert meg. A hatodik fordulóban egy ponttal sikerült legyőznie a lengyel AZS UMCS Lublin együttesét (73-72)

Our basketball team is preparing for the last match of the EuroLeague first round series. On Wednesday, the French team LDLC ASVEL Féminin will visit the Sepsi Arena. In the previous season, our team faced the French team in the Round of 16 of the EuroCup, and they won both matches of the series, advancing further and eventually winning the Cup.

Let’s get to know our opponent:

The team owned by retired professional basketball player Tony Parker, Lyon, won the French championship and Europe’s second most prestigious cup series, the EuroCup, last season. The French team largely remained intact, with few departures; Blake Dietrick and Dominique Malonga left the team.

At the beginning of the season, French national team players Marine Fauthoux and Endy Miyem acquired the right to play for Lyon. Fauthoux spent the previous seasons on loan to the Basket Landes team, while Miyem transferred from Bourges to Lyon.

The roster continues to feature Gabby Williams, Alexia Chery (Chartereau), Marine Johannes, Julie Allemand, Laura Quevedo, Sandrine Gruda, Juste Jocyte, and Helena Ciak.

Marine Johannes recently joined the team after playing in the WNBA with the New York Liberty, which reached the finals. Stefanie Dolson also joined Lyon from the New York team. Dolson will be the replacement for Sandrine Gruda, who is sidelined due to injury.

Under the guidance of French coach David Gautier, Lyon won only one match in this Euroleague season. In the sixth round, they narrowly defeated the Polish team AZS UMCS Lublin by one point (73-72).

We welcome everyone to the match against LDLC ASVEL Féminin. Let’s be as many as possible, fill the Sepsi Arena stands!
