Nehéz mérkőzés előtt állnak kosarasaink / Baschetbalistele noastre se pregătesc pentru un meci dificil / Our basketball players face a tough match

Kosárlabdázóink az első hazai mérkőzésükre készülnek az Európa Kupában. A sorozat második játéknapján a zöld-fehérek a magyar TARR KSC Szekszárd csapatát fogadják a Szabó Kati Sportcsarnokban. A magyar együttes az első meccsén az olasz GEAS csapatával mérkőzött meg, és hátrányból fordítva győzni is tudott. Emellett a magyar bajnokságban is veretlen négy fordulót követően.

Csapatunkra nem vár könnyű mérkőzés szerdán, ráadásul Zoran Mikes együttesének kevés ideje volt edzeni és felkészülni, mivel vasárnap még a román bajnokságban játszottak.

A mérkőzés előtt vezetőedzőnk, Zoran Mikes, valamint a csapat menedzsere, Pásztori István adtak rövid nyilatkozatot.

“Örülök, hogy a szurkolóink előtt játszhatjuk az Európa Kupa második fordulóját. Közel négy hét után végre ismét hazai pályán léptünk pályára a hétvégén a Târgoviște ellen, és fontos győzelmet arattunk. De ezen a héten gyakorlatilag nulláról indulunk: van egy új játékosunk, akitől azt remélem, hogy segíteni fogja a csapat fejlődését. Vele erősebbek lehetünk a védekezésben, több taktikai lehetőségünk lesz, és jobb egyensúlyt tudunk elérni a támadásban. Nagyon örülök annak is, hogy Katy visszatért, jó mérkőzést játszott a Târgoviște ellen. A csapat többi tagja is motivált, és bízom benne, hogy szurkolóink nagy számban jönnek majd el, mert a csapatnak igazán szüksége van a támogatásukra. Ugyanakkor csalódott vagyok a KSC Szekszárd stábjának döntése miatt, hogy nem fogadták el a kérésünket, hogy a mérkőzést szerdáról csütörtökre halasszuk. Mi jó kapcsolatot szeretnénk ápolni minden csapattal, de ezt a döntést nem tudom megérteni. Számomra ez nem a fair play szelleme. Ez azonban az ő választásuk volt, és bízom benne, hogy a pályán meg tudjuk mutatni, milyen erősek vagyunk, és meg tudjuk védeni a hazai pályánkat. A győzelem is fontos, de a jó sportkapcsolatok is számítanak. A győzelem nem minden – a sportban, ahogy az életben is, az marad meg, ahogyan egymással bánunk. Néha nyersz, néha veszítesz, de a fair play mindig az első helyen áll.” – nyilatkozta Zoran Mikes.

“Egy érdekes párharc elé nézünk a KSC Szekszárd ellen, akik a magyar bajnokságban eddig veretlenek, és az Európa Kupában az olasz GEAS csapatát is legyőzték. Úgy érzem, csapatunk megtette az első lépést, hogy kijöjjön a gödörből, voltak változások a keretben, sérülések és betegségek is nehezítették a helyzetünket, de a lányok kezdenek megtalálni önmagukat. Nem tartottam korrektnek a Szekszárd részéről, hogy ragaszkodtak a szerdai időponthoz. Mi az elmúlt hetekben csütörtök–vasárnap ritmusban játszottunk, így most a lányoknak mindössze egy napjuk maradt felkészülni erre a meccsre. Nekik is vasárnap van bajnokijuk, ezért kézenfekvő lett volna közösen áttenni a mérkőzést csütörtökre. Ez a fair play szempontjából is helyesebb lett volna. Ráadásul a TVR Sport élőben közvetíthette volna a találkozót, ami fontos lett volna számunkra és a román női kosárlabda számára is. Elfogadjuk a döntésüket, hiszen joguk van hozzá, de úgy éreztem, ebben a kérdésben meg kellett szólalnom. Ezúton is köszönöm az Arad csapatának, hogy elfogadták a mérkőzés elnapolását, bár mostanra már nem is lenne indokolt vasárnap játszani. A lányok ettől függetlenül keményen dolgoznak, mindent megtesznek a győzelemért, és reméljük, hogy minél több szurkoló kilátogat a mérkőzésre, mert nagyon fontos, hogy a csapat, a lányok, és a szakmai stáb is érezze a támogatásukat!” – nyilatkozta Pásztori István.

A mérkőzés holnap, október 15-én 19 órától lesz a Szabó Kati Sportcsarnokban. Szükségünk lesz minden buzdító tapsra és szurkolásra, hiszen ez lesz az első nemzetközi kupameccs hazai pályán ebben az idényben. Baschetbalistele noastre se pregătesc pentru primul meci pe teren propriu din EuroCup. În a doua etapă a competiției, alb-verzii vor primi vizita echipei maghiare TARR KSC Szekszárd la Sala Sporturilor Szabó Kati. Echipa maghiară a disputat primul meci împotriva formației italiene GEAS, reușind să întoarcă rezultatul și să obțină victoria. În plus, sunt neînvinse după patru etape în campionatul maghiar.

O partidă dificilă le așteaptă pe jucătoarele noastre, iar echipa lui Zoran Mikes a avut puțin timp pentru pregătire, deoarece duminică a evoluat în campionatul României, ceea ce a lăsat un timp limitat înaintea confruntării de miercuri.

Înaintea meciului, antrenorul principal Zoran Mikes și managerul echipei, István Pásztori, au oferit scurte declarații.

“Sunt fericit că putem juca runda a doua din EuroCup în fața fanilor noștri. După aproape patru săptămâni, în sfârșit am jucat din nou acasă weekendul trecut împotriva celor de la Târgoviște, și a fost o victorie importantă pentru noi. Însă săptămâna aceasta practic pornim de la zero: avem o jucătoare nouă și sper că ne va ajuta să ne dezvoltăm ca echipă. Cu ea vom fi mai puternice în apărare, vom avea mai multe opțiuni tactice și un echilibru mai bun în atac. Sunt, de asemenea, fericită că Katy s-a întors; a făcut un meci bun împotriva Târgoviștei. Restul echipei este, de asemenea, motivat, și sper ca fanii să vină în număr mare să ne susțină — această echipă are cu adevărat nevoie de sprijinul lor.

În același timp, sunt dezamăgită de decizia staff-ului celor de la KSC Szekszárd de a nu accepta cererea noastră de a muta meciul de miercuri pe joi. Ne dorim să menținem relații bune cu toate echipele, dar nu pot înțelege această decizie. Pentru mine, nu reflectă spiritul fair play-ului. Totuși, aceasta a fost alegerea lor, și sper ca pe teren să arătăm cât de puternice putem fi și să ne apărăm terenul propriu. Victoriile sunt importante, dar și relațiile sportive bune contează. Victoria nu este totul — în sport, ca și în viață, rămâne modul în care ne comportăm unii cu alții. Uneori câștigi, alteori pierzi, dar fair play-ul trebuie să fie întotdeauna pe primul loc.” – a spus Zoran Mikes.

“Ne așteaptă un duel interesant împotriva celor de la KSC Szekszárd, care sunt încă neînvinse în campionatul maghiar și au reușit să învingă și echipa italiană GEAS în EuroCup. Simt că echipa noastră a făcut primul pas pentru a ieși din perioada dificilă. Au fost schimbări în lot, accidentările și bolile ne-au îngreunat situația, dar fetele încep să se regăsească. Nu am considerat corect din partea Szekszárd faptul că au insistat să jucăm miercuri. În ultimele săptămâni am jucat într-un ritm de joi–duminică, iar acum fetele au avut doar o zi să se pregătească pentru acest meci. Și ele au meci de campionat duminică, deci ar fi fost logic să reprogramăm împreună partida pentru joi. Din punct de vedere al fair play-ului aceasta ar fi fost decizia corectă. În plus, TVR Sport ar fi putut transmite meciul în direct, ceea ce ar fi fost important atât pentru noi, cât și pentru baschetul feminin românesc. Acceptăm decizia lor, pentru că este dreptul lor, dar am simțit că trebuie să iau atitudine în această privință. Țin să mulțumesc echipei din Arad pentru că a acceptat amânarea meciului, deși între timp nu ar mai fi fost justificat să jucăm duminică. Cu toate acestea, fetele muncesc din greu, vor face totul pentru victorie și sperăm ca cât mai mulți suporteri să vină la meci, pentru că este foarte important ca echipa, fetele și staff-ul tehnic să simtă sprijinul lor!” – a declarat István Pásztori.

Meciul va avea loc mâine, 15 octombrie, de la ora 19:00, în Sala Sporturilor “Szabó Kati”. Vom avea nevoie de fiecare încurajare și de toată susținerea voastră, deoarece acesta va fi primul nostru meci internațional pe teren propriu din acest sezon. Our basketball players are preparing for their first home game in the EuroCup. On the second gameday of the series, the green-and-whites will host the Hungarian side TARR KSC Szekszárd at the Szabó Kati Sports Hall. The Hungarian team played their first match against the Italian club GEAS, where they managed to come back from behind and secure a win. In addition, they remain unbeaten after four rounds in the Hungarian league.

A difficult game awaits our team, and coach Zoran Mikes’s squad has had little time to prepare, as they played in the Romanian championship on Sunday, leaving only limited time before Wednesday’s clash.

Ahead of the game, our head coach Zoran Mikes and the team manager, István Pásztori, gave short statements.

“I am happy that we can play the second round of the EuroCup in front of our fans. After almost four weeks, we finally played at home this past weekend against Târgoviște, and it was a good win for us. But this week we practically start from zero: we have a new player, and I hope she will help the team develop. With her, we will be stronger in defense, have more tactical options, and achieve better balance on offense. I am also happy that Katy is back; she had a good game against Târgoviște. The rest of the team is also motivated, and I hope the fans will come in large numbers to support us—this team really needs their support. At the same time, I am disappointed by the decision of the KSC Szekszárd staff not to accept our request to move the game from Wednesday to Thursday. We want to maintain good relationships with every team, but I really cannot understand their decision. To me, it does not show fair play. Still, that was their choice, and I hope we can show on the court how strong we are and protect our home court. Wins are important, but good sporting relations matter as well. Winning is not everything—in sports, as in life, what remains is how we act toward each other. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but fair play always comes first.” – said Zoran Mikes.

“We are heading into an interesting clash against KSC Szekszárd, who are still unbeaten in the Hungarian league and also defeated the Italian team GEAS in the EuroCup. I feel that our team has taken the first step to get out of the difficult period. There have been changes in the roster, injuries and illnesses have also made things harder, but the girls are starting to find themselves. I did not consider it fair from Szekszárd’s side to insist on playing on Wednesday. In the past weeks, we have been playing in a Thursday–Sunday rhythm, so now the girls had only one day to prepare for this game. They also have a league match on Sunday, so it would have been logical to reschedule the game together for Thursday. From the point of view of fair play, this would have been the right decision. Moreover, TVR Sport could have broadcast the game live, which would have been important for us and for Romanian women’s basketball as well. We accept their decision, since it is their right, but I felt I had to speak up on this matter. I would like to thank the Arad team for accepting the postponement of the match, although by now it would no longer be necessary to play on Sunday. Regardless, the girls are working hard, they will do everything for the victory, and we hope that as many fans as possible will come to the game, because it is very important for the team, the girls, and the staff to feel their support!” – said István Pásztori.
