SAJTÓKÖZLEMÉNY
Az ACS SEPSI-SIC ügyvezetése kötelességének érzi reagálni a francia játékos Gabby Williams 2024. január 30-án, a Twitter(X) portálon megosztott nyilatkozatára, illetve egyes sajtóban megjelent vádakra, amelyben a klubunk vezetőedzője érintett.
Zoran Mikes, több, mint 10 éve a klubunk vezetőedzője illetve szakmájába több min 25 éve dolgozik.
Pontosan tudjuk, hogy az elmúlt két nap számára és családja számára egy rémálom volt, miután ezekkel a vádakkal kellett szembesülnie.
Teljes mértékben kiállunk mellette és mivel egy olyan esetről van szó, amelynek szemtanúja volt a csapatunk stábja, padon ülő játékosai, köztük az edző 17 éves lánya, illetve csapatunk közvetlen háta mögött elhelyezkedő 10 lelkes szurkolója.
Megdöbbenve értesültünk a sajtóban megjelent vádakról, miszerint olyan jelzőkkel illeti vezetőedzőnket, amely több, mint felháborító, besározva az Ő nevét, ezáltal klubunkét is.
Elsősorban a tweetre szeretnénk reagálni, amit Gabby a saját twitter X oldalán osztott meg:
“Here’s a story for yall. today. the opposing coach decided to smack my butt during the game. i told him to please not touch me and his assistants started yelling at me. i asked the ref is he’s allowed to touch me and she literally said “yes he is calm down”)
Először is tisztázni szeretnénk, hogy a Gabby Williams által megjelenített tweet eltér a valóságtól ugyanis két teljesen más esetről van szó, amit ő egy szituációként jelenített meg, ezt tanúsítani tudjuk mindannyian, ahogy a felvételek is alátámasztják ezt.
Az első eset a mérkőzés harmadik negyedében 8:37-es óra állásnál történt amikor a csapatunk vezetőedzője Zoran Mikes a saját zónájában tartózkodott, valamint Gabby Williams a vonalra lépve az edző irányában mozdult el. Klubunk vezetőedzője hozzáért a csipőjéhez és mint egy dicséret a következőket mondta, mivel Gabbynek ekkor már több, mint 20 pont volt a neve mellett a táblán.
“Gabby please slow down you are killing us today”.
Gabby Williams a következőt válaszólta:
“Don’t touch me”
A második eset a harmadik negyed 6:07-es óra állásnál történt, amikor a játékvezető személyi hibát ítélt a #12 számú játékosunk ellen és az edzői stáb erre reagált a játékvezetőnél.
Gabby hátra fordult és a pad irányában a következőt mondta:
“Shut the F*** up!”
Erre reagálva a vezetőedzőnk a játékvezetőnek a következőt mondta:
“You shoud not allow her to talk like this way to our bench”
Amikor Gabby a következőt mondta:
“Don’t touch me”
Hangsúlyozni szeretnénk, hogy vezetőedzőnk abszolút semmilyen fajta kontaktot nem létesített a játékossal az ekkori oldalvonali beadásnál.
A játékvezető pedig a következőt mondta:
“Calm down, we continue the game”
Vezetőedzőnk kezét széttárva befejezte a kommunikációt a játékvezetővel.
Fontosnak tartjuk, viszont azt is megjegyezni, hogy egy ilyen elhamarkodott, valamint későbbiekben már letörült tweet miatt csapatunk vezetőedző státusa és esetleges jövőbeli megítélése kompromittálódhat.
Tweetjének kommentjében a következőket írta, ami úgyszintén rágalmazás és sértő.
„fiba’s investigating it so I’ll let them take it from here. apparently he been problematic all year smh…”
A klubunk Gabby Williams tweetjét túlzónak találja, valamint hisz a Fair Play és a sport írott és íratlan szabályainak betartásában.
Reményünket fejezzük ki, hogy a FIBA és az éríntett felek, minél hamarabb tisztázzák az esetet.
COMUNICAT DE PRESĂ
Conducerea ACS SEPSI-SIC se simte obligată să răspundă declarației făcute pe Twitter de către jucătoarea franceză Gabby Williams, pe 30 ianuarie 2024, precum și anumitor acuzații care au apărut în presă, referitoare la antrenorul principal al clubului nostru.
Zoran Mikes este antrenorul principal al clubului nostru de mai bine de 10 ani și activează în această profesie de peste 25 de ani.
Suntem conștienți că ultimele două zile au fost un coșmar pentru el și familia sa, ei fiind nevoiți să se confrunte cu aceste acuzații.
Îl susținem în totalitate, mai ales că este vorba despre un caz la care au fost martori membri staff-ului formației noastre, jucătoarele de pe bancă, inclusiv fiica antrenorului nostru, în vârstă de 17 ani , precum și 10 fani al clubului aflați chiar în spatele echipei noastre.
Am fost șocați să vedem acuzațiile care au fost publicate în presă, unde antrenorul nostru principal a fost etichetat cu epitete care nu sunt doar extrem de ofensatoare, dar îi și pătează numele și, în consecință, și pe cel al clubului nostru.
În primul rând, dorim să răspundem la tweet-ul postat de Gabby pe propriul său cont de Twitter (X):

Dorim să clarificăm faptul că tweet-ul postat de Gabby Williams nu corespunde realității. Incidentul pe care l-a prezentat și evenimentele reale sunt două lucruri complet diferite, fapt pe care toți putem să-l confirmăm, susținuți și de înregistrările disponibile.
Prima situațe a avut loc în al treilea sfert al jocului, când tabela indica 8:37, moment în care antrenorul principal al echipei noastre, Zoran Mikes, se afla în zona sa desemnată. Gabby Williams, deplasându-se spre marginea terenului, s-a apropiat de antrenor. Antrenorul principal al echipei noastre a atins șoldul lui Gabby Williams, și ca un compliment, a spus următoarele, deoarece Gabby deja avea mai mult de 20 de puncte pe tabelă, în acel moment: “Gabby please slow down you are killing us today”.
Dupa care Gabby Williams a spus: “Don’t touch me”
A doua situațe a avut loc la marcajul de 6:07 al celui de-al treilea sfert, când arbitrul a fluierat un fault personal împotriva jucătoarei noastre cu numărul 12, iar staff-ul tehnic a reacționat la decizia arbitrului. Gabby s-a întors spre banca technică și a spus:
“Shut the F*** up!”
În răspuns la aceasta, antrenorul nostru principal i-a spus următoarele arbitrului: “You shoud not allow her to talk like this way to our bench”,
După care Gabby Williams a spus: “Don’t touch me”
Dorim să subliniem că antrenorul nostru principal nu a avut niciun fel de contact cu jucătoarea în timpul fazei de repunere, în acel moment.
Arbitrul a spus apoi următoarele: “Calm down, we continue the game”
Antrenorul nostru principal a încheiat comunicarea cu arbitrul gesticulând cu mâinile într-o parte.
Considerăm important să precizăm, totuși, că din cauza unor tweet-uri atât de grabnic postate și ulterior șterse, statutul și potențiala percepție viitoare asupra antrenorului principal al echipei noastre ar putea avea de suferit sau ar putea chiar fi compromisă.
În comentariile la tweet-ul ei, jucătoarea a scris următoarele, lucruri de asemenea defăimătoare și ofensatoare, aducând atingere inclusiv asupra onoarei şi reputaţiei numelui antrenorului:
„fiba’s investigating it so I’ll let them take it from here. apparently he been problematic all year smh…”
Clubul nostru consideră tweet-ul lui Gabby Williams exagerat și susține respectarea principiilor Fair Play și a regulilor scrise și nescrise ale sportului. Ne exprimăm speranța că FIBA și cluburile implicate vor clarifica incidentul cât mai curând posibil.

The board of ACS SEPSI-SIC feels obligated to respond to the statement shared on Twitter (X) by the French player Gabby Williams on January 30, 2024, as well as to certain accusations that have appeared in the press, involving our club’s head coach.
Zoran Mikes has been the head coach of our club for more than 10 years and has been working in the profession for over 25 years.
We are well aware that the past two days have been a nightmare for him and his family, having to confront these accusations.
We fully support him, especially since this is a case witnessed by our team’s staff, bench players, including the coach’s 17-year-old daughter, as well as the 10 Sepsi fans located directly behind our team.
We were shocked to learn about the accusations that have been published in the press, where our head coach has been labeled with epithets that are not only highly offensive but also tarnish his name and, consequently, that of our club.
First and foremost, we would like to respond to the tweet shared by Gabby on her own Twitter(X) page:

First and foremost, we would like to clarify that the tweet posted by Gabby Williams does not align with the reality of the situation. The incident she presented and the actual events are two entirely different occurrences, which we can all attest to, supported by the available footage:
The first situation took place in the third quarter of the game at the 8:37 mark when our team’s head coach, Zoran Mikes, was in his designated zone. Gabby Williams, while stepping towards the sideline, moved in the direction of the coach. Our team’s head coach touched Gabby Williams’ hip, and as a compliment, he said the following because Gabby already had more than 20 points on the scoreboard at that time.
“Gabby please slow down you are killing us today”.
After Gabby Williams said: “Don’t touch me”
The second situation took place at the 6:07 mark of the third quarter when the referee called a personal foul against our #12 player, and the coaching staff reacted to the referee’s decision. Gabby turned towards the bench and said the following:
“Shut the F*** up!”
In response to this, our head coach said the following to the referee:
“You shoud not allow her to talk like this way to our bench”
After Gabby said the following:
“Don’t touch me”
We would like to emphasize that our head coach did not make any kind of contact with the player during the sideline inbound play at that time.
The referee then said the following:
“Calm down, we continue the game”
Our head coach concluded the communication with the referee by spreading his hands apart.
We consider it important to note, however, that due to such hasty and subsequently deleted tweets, the status and potential future perception of our team’s head coach may be compromised.
In the comments of her tweet, she wrote the following, which is also defamatory and offensive:
„fiba’s investigating it so I’ll let them take it from here. apparently he been problematic all year smh…”
Our club considers Gabby Williams’ tweet to be exaggerated and believes in upholding the principles of Fair Play and the written and unwritten rules of sports.
We express our hope that FIBA and the involved parties clarify the incident as soon as possible.
