Lejátszottuk második Euroliga mérkőzésünket is. Ezúttal egy fantasztikus hazai közönség előtt léphettünk pályára a Sepsi Arénában, a Famila Schio ellen.
A mérkőzést az olasz ellenfelünk jobban indította, és már az elején magukhoz ragadták az irányítást. Az első negyed végén a Schio 11 ponttal vezetett (14-25). A második negyedben sem sikerült megmutatniuk Zoran Mikes tanítványainak mire képesek, és a félidőben hátrányba vonultak az öltözőbe (23-37).
A második félidőben mindent beleadtunk a mérkőzésbe, és a hazai közönség is segített, hogy csökkenteni tudjuk az olasz alakulat által kialakított pontkülönbséget. Morgan Green 1 perc alatt háromszor volt eredményes a hárompontosról. A meccset azonban elveszítettük 58-70-re, csapatunk pontjai oroszlánrészét Borislava Hristova és Morgan Green dobta, ők 20-20 pontot szereztek.
Így is büszkék lehetünk a lányokra, mert becsületesen helyt álltak a többszörös olasz bajnok, és a tavalyi szezon Euroliga bronzérmese ellen.

A mérkőzést követően Zoran Mikes a következőt nyilatkozta: “Gratulálok a Schionak, megérdemelt győzelemhez, jó csapatuk van. Ez a második mérkőzés zsinórban, amikor az első negyedet kétszámjegyű különbséggel veszítjük el. Valószínű, hogy bátrabbnak kell legyünk és biztosabbak a képességeinkben a mérkőzés elején. Ezt követően pedig meglátjuk mit hoz számunkra a mérkőzés. Jó csapatok ellen nehéz az ilyen hátrányt ledolgozni. A következő meccsen remélem már az elején jól fogunk reagálni, és mint csapat tudunk fejlődni. Sok hibát követtünk el a támadásainkban, Schio pedig olyan csapat, amelyik megbünteti ezeket a hibákat. Remélem fogunk javítani a játékunkon, kevesebb hibával játszunk majd, és jobban betartjuk a meccstervet. De a szezon elején vagyunk, és ez még új tapasztalat számunkra, valamint szükségünk van időre is. Azonban a sportban nincs sok időd, gyorsan kell reagálni a szituációkra. Ez egy tanulási folyamat és remélem okulunk minden meccsből, már a következő edzésen is jobbak leszünk. Mégegyszer gratulálok a csapatomnak, mivel végig küzdöttünk. Köszönöm a szurkolóknak, hogy itt voltak, és remélem máskor is jönnek legalább ennyien, vagy akár többen is!”
Borislava Hristova is megosztotta a gondolatait: “Elsősorban szeretnék gratulálni a Schionak. Nagyon jó és tapasztalt csapatuk van, jól felismerték a gyengeségeinket. Vissza kell nézzük a mérkőzést, és javítanunk kell néhány dolgon. Nem kezdhetjük a mérkőzést ilyen lassan. Szerintem jól küzdöttünk a harmadik és a negyedik negyedben, de nem indítottunk jól az elején. Van, amin javítani, de ez az Euroliga, minden mérkőzés kemény lesz, készen kell állnunk, ki kell javítani a hibáinkat, és előre kell néznünk.”
Az olasz csapat vezetőedzője, George Dikeoulakos is nyilatkozott a lefújás után: “A mérkőzés nagy részében a terveink szerint játszottunk támadásban és védekezésben is. Sikerült az ellenfelünket hibára kényszeríteni. De így sem vagyok teljesen megelégedve, mert hullámzó volt a teljesítményünk, és a nagy előnyünket nem tudtuk megtartani, ez a tapasztalatunknak köszönhető, hogy nyerni tudtunk. Fantasztikus volt az atmoszféra, minden nagyon jó volt, és szeretnék sok sikert kívánni a továbbiakban a csapatnak, és a kollégámnak, Zoran Mikesnek, aki nagyszerű munkát végez.”
A vezetőedző mellett Juhász Dorka is beszélt: “Csapat összetartás szempontjából úgy gondolom jobb volt ez a mérkőzés, még szoknunk kell egymást, és a másik játékstílusát, azt, hogy ki honnan szeret kosarat dobni, de ebben még fogunk fejlődni. Nekem is meg kell találnom a pozícióm, mivel csak egy hete vagyok a csapattal, valamint az Euroligával is ismerkednem kell. Nagy élmény volt itt pályára lépni sok magyar között, óriási élmény volt magyar szurkolást hallani.”

Am jucat a doua noastră partidă din Euroliga. De data aceasta, am avut parte de o atmosferă fantastică în fața suporterilor noștri la Sepsi Arena, împotriva echipei Famila Schio.
Adversarul nostru italian a început partida mai bine, și au preluat controlul chiar de la început.La finalul primului sfert, Schio conducea cu 11 puncte (14-25). În al doilea sfert,echipa lui Zoran Mikes nu au reușit să-și arate adevăratul potențial, iar am intrat la pauză cu un dezavantaj de 14 puncte.(23-37)
În repriza a doua ne-am dat tot sufletul, și cu ajutorul publicului am reușit să reducem avantajul echipei italiene.Morgan Green a reuşit să înscrie trei aruncări din afara semicercului intr-un minut. Cu toate acestea, am pierdut meciul cu scorul de 58-70. O mare parte din punctele echipei noastre au fost marcate de Borislava Hristova și Morgan Green, fiecare contribuind cu câte 20 de puncte.
Cu siguranţă putem fi mândri de fetele noastre, pentru că au făcut față cu demnitate campioanelor italiene multiple, și câștigătoarei bronzului în Euroliga sezonului trecut.
Mulțumim suporterilor noștri că au venit într-un număr atât de mare la meci și că au susținut fetele! Contăm pe voi și data viitoare!
După meci, Zoran Mikes a declarat: “Felicitări echipei Schio, au câștigat pe merit, au o echipă foarte bună. Acesta este al doilea meci consecutiv în care pierdem primul sfert cu o diferență de două cifre. Probabil că trebuie să fim mai curajoși și mai încrezători în abilitățile noastre la începutul meciului. După aceea vom vedea ce ne rezervă meciul. Este dificil să recuperezi o astfel de handicap împotriva unor echipe bune. Sper că la următorul meci vom începe mai bine și vom progresa ca echipă. Am făcut multe greșeli în atacurile noastre, iar Schio este o echipă care pedepsește astfel de greșeli. Sper să îmbunătățim jocul nostru, să jucăm cu mai puține erori și să respectăm mai bine planul de meci. Dar suntem încă la începutul sezonului și aceasta este o nouă experiență pentru noi, avem nevoie și de timp. Cu toate acestea, în sport nu ai mult timp, trebuie să reacționezi rapid la situații. Este un proces de învățare și sper să învățăm din fiecare meci, să fim mai buni chiar de la următorul antrenament. Încă o dată, felicit echipa mea, pentru că am luptat până la capăt. Le mulțumesc suporterilor că au fost aici și sper să vină și data viitoare, măcar la fel de mulți sau poate chiar mai mulți!
Borislava Hristova: În primul rând, aș vrea să felicit echipa Schio. Au o echipă foarte bună și experimentată, au identificat bine slăbiciunile noastre. Trebuie să ne uităm la meci și să îmbunătățim câteva aspecte. Nu putem începe meciul atât de încet. Cred că ne-am luptat bine în al treilea și al patrulea sfert, dar nu am început bine de la început. Avem loc de îmbunătățire, dar asta e Euroliga, fiecare meci va fi dificil, trebuie să fim pregătiți, să corectăm greșelile și să privim înainte.
Antrenorul echipei italiene, George Dikeoulakos, a declarat după finalul meciului: “În cea mai mare parte a meciului am reușit să implementăm planul nostru atât în atac, cât și în apărare. Am reușit să forțăm echipa adversă să facă greșeli. Cu toate acestea, nu sunt complet mulțumit, deoarece am avut oscilații în performanța noastră, iar avantajul nostru substanțial nu a putut fi menținut. Această victorie este rezultatul experienței noastre acumulate. Atmosfera a fost fantastică, totul a decurs foarte bine, și doresc mult succes echipei în continuare, precum și colegului meu, Zoran Mikes, care face o muncă excelentă
Alături de antrenorul principal, Juhász Dorka a avut și ea câteva cuvinte de spus: Din perspectiva echipei, cred că acest meci a fost mai bun decât cel precedent. Încă trebuie să ne obișnuim unii cu alții și cu stilul de joc al celuilalt, dar vom continua să ne dezvoltăm în această privință. Pentru mine, de asemenea, trebuie să-mi găsesc poziția, deoarece sunt în echipă doar de o săptămână și încă m am obisnuit cu Euroliga. A fost o experiență minunată să joc aici, printre atâția maghiari, să aud un sprijin atât de mare din partea fanilor maghiari.

We played our second EuroLeague match. This time, we had the opportunity to step onto the court in front of a fantastic home crowd at the Sepsi Arena, facing Famila Schio.
Our Italian opponent started the match stronger and took control right from the beginning. By the end of the first quarter, Schio was leading by 11 points (14-25). In the second quarter, the players of Zoran Mikes couldn’t demonstrate what they were capable of, and they went into halftime at a disadvantage (23-37)
In the second half, we gave it our all in the match, and the home crowd also helped us in reducing the point difference created by the Italian team. Morgan Green scored three times from beyond the arc in just one minute. However, we ultimately lost the game 58-70. The majority of our team’s points were scored by Borislava Hristova and Morgan Green, each contributing 20 points
We can be proud of the girls, as they stood their ground against the multiple-time Italian champions and last season’s EuroLeague bronze medalists.

After the match, Zoran Mikes stated the following: ‘Congratulations to Schio, they earned the victory. They have a good team. This is the second consecutive game where we lose the first quarter with a double-digit difference. It’s likely that we need to be braver and more confident in our abilities at the start of the match. After that, we’ll see what the game brings us. It’s difficult to come back from such a deficit against good teams. In the next game, I hope we’ll react well from the beginning and as a team, we can improve. We made a lot of mistakes in our attacks, and Schio is a team that punishes these mistakes. I hope we will improve our game, play with fewer errors, and stick to the game plan better. But we’re at the beginning of the season, and this is still a new experience for us, and we need time. However, in sports, you don’t have much time; you need to react quickly to situations. It’s a learning process, and I hope we learn from every game. We’ll be better in the next training session. Once again, congratulations to my team, as we fought throughout. Borislava Hristova also shared her thoughts: ‘First, I want to congratulate Schio. They have a very good and experienced team; they identified our weaknesses well. We need to review the match and work on some things. We can’t start the game this slowly. I believe we fought well in the third and fourth quarters, but we didn’t start well at the beginning. There are areas to improve, but this is the EuroLeague, every game will be tough, we need to be prepared, correct our mistakes, and look ahead.
The head coach of the Italian team, George Dikeoulakos, also commented after the final whistle: ‘For much of the game, we executed according to our plans, both in offense and defense. We managed to force errors from our opponent. However, I’m not entirely satisfied because our performance was inconsistent, and we couldn’t maintain our significant lead. It’s thanks to our experience that we were able to secure the win. Alongside the head coach, Dorka Juhász also spoke: ‘In terms of team chemistry, I believe this game was better. We still need to get used to each other and each other’s playing style, but we will continue to improve in this regard.
